Honeste makes sustainable, reclaimed and eco-friendly homeware, decor and personalised gifts. We are a small independently run business.

Hi everyone. Welcome to Honeste - a homeware, home decor and gifting lifestyle brand for the eco-conscious.

We are a small independently owned business founded and run by two friends. We both love interior design and buying gifts (especially personalised gifts) but found it difficult to find plastic-free, sustainable or eco-friendly options.

We have both been on our own zero-waste journeys for decades. In fact, when I was just a child I made the den under my bed my HQ'...the business? A recycling company! You can even see my 'Trash Can Business Card' opposite.

We believe in home decor and gifts that are environmentally friendly without compromising on style or quality.

We are called 'Honeste' as we believe in being honest and transparent. Our values are really important to us and how we run and conduct our business.

Co-founder Katherine

Hi, I'm Katherine, co-founder of Honeste.

As a mum of a young child, I'm very aware of just how much plastic is unnecessarily used in so many products. I love interior design, gifts and crafts and wanted to combine my passions with making beautiful designs which are mindful of our wonderful planet. You'll see inspiration from my husband's Indian heritage and my love for elegant yet warm and cosy design.

Our Values

Environmentally Conscious

Being environmentally conscious is extremely important to us and governs every part of how we do business. We are always striving to be more and more environmentally friendly and are always researching the best materials to use throughout our product range and packaging.

Each item is carefully designed to be eco-friendly and sustainable. This is core to our range and as such, the exact eco-credentials of every product can be found on the product's description. We use a variety of renewable, recycled, upcycled/re-purposed and sustainably sourced and grown materials. We never use any animal-derived products.

We have two packaging options you will see on our checkout - branded-packaging and re-used packaging.

We send all our orders using brown recycled cardboard boxes. We then use recycled brown paper, recycled shredded paper or compostable peanuts to protect our products in the boxes. Envelopes used are also made from 100% recycled paper. We use paper tape to seal our boxes so everything is recyclable and biodegradable. We send receipts and delivery notes electronically; please tick on the check-out if you want a printed receipt included.

To be as environmentally friendly as we can, we give you an option of selecting a 'reused packaging' option. If you choose this, we look to reuse any boxes or packaging we have from our suppliers if we have any that is suitable. This packaging won't look as pretty as our branded packaging, but it does help to reduce, reuse and recycle. If you would like this, please choose this option on our checkout (not available via PayPal checkout).

Most of our items are created in small batches or made to order. This helps us reduce any excess and waste. We also use electricity generated from 100% renewable sources.

We donate 10% of all our profits to charity. We have currently shortlisted several charities and will be announcing our chosen charity partner soon. Be sure to sign-up to our mailing list or follow us on Facebook or Instagram to keep up to date and see our announcement.

We recycle all our old ink cartridges to prevent them from going to landfill. We recycle the cartridges by donating them to  Whale and Dolphin Conservation (WDC) via The Recycling Factory. WDC, Whale and Dolphin Conservation, is a global charity dedicated to the conservation and protection of whales and dolphins. Should the cartridges not be on the eligible list via the Recycling Factory at the time of donating, we will donate to another recycling programme and donate all proceeds to charity.

We also support other charitable events and you can see the latest events on our blog. If you are a charity and would like to speak to us about opportunities, please do contact us.
